After being kicked out of college for being “below the academic standards”, Scott W. Gonnello feared his hopes and dreams of becoming a business owner were almost over. Fortunately, Scott’s lack of business knowledge was overshadowed by his desire and commitment to succeed. His search for this knowledge led him to the ocean where he discovered valuable evolution lessons from sea creatures. These creatures evolved in a unique way that ensured their survival within the food chain.

As an avid scuba diver and fish enthusiast, Scott observed a correlation between the ocean world and the business world. He established a company by applying these evolution lessons combined with his knowledge of scuba diving. Scott experienced the power of these lessons as soon as he started utilizing them. His small company started Climbing the Food Chain and evolved into a national business.

Over the past 10 years, Scott has worked with thousands of individuals around the world with the following companies: Marriott, EMC, IKON Office Solutions, KLM, Interpore Cross International, Six Flags, Princeton Review, Articulent and the World Face & Body Art Alliance. He has also worked with many small businesses throughout the United States and Europe as well.

Scott is a certified Motivational Firewalk Instructor (walking barefoot over red hot coals). He became one of the top motivational instructors when he presented and assisted more than 60 Firewalks in a single year. His Motivational Seminars have taken Scott throughout the United States, Europe and Grand Cayman.  

Scott served on the Chicopee Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for a ten year period. While serving as a director, Scott helped found and serve on various committees including the Micro-Business Committee and the Commerce Trade Show Committee.

Today, Scott is an international speaker and business consultant who assists companies and individuals in Climbing the Food Chain.
